Developers

Rust-first core with native, EVM, mining and integration boundaries kept explicit.

WildRoot is organized as independently runnable applications around shared protocol crates, with a headless readiness harness and native/GPU implementation tests alongside the Rust workspace.

Workspace

Protocol code is split by responsibility.

Consensus

wildroot-core

Consensus constants, transaction DAG, PoW checkpoints, application-frontier commitments, DAA and native ML-DSA-87 helpers.

Execution

wildroot-evm

EVM compatibility boundary, Ethereum JSON-RPC data model and the REVM-backed application execution path.

Node

wildrootd

Node library plus daemon, P2P networking, Integration RPC, Stratum, EVM services and Explorer services.

Wallet

wildroot-wallet

Encrypted multi-wallet HD storage, recovery material and deterministic native/EVM address derivation.

Mining

wildroot-miner + wildroot-hash

Reusable mining library/standalone miner and safe Rust FFI wrapper around the native WildRoot PoW implementation.

Assurance

wildroot-test

Headless multi-node readiness harness covering mining, DAG/EVM ordering, delayed relay, DA/finality, restart and controlled reorg scenarios.

Build & test

One workspace, separate native/GPU validation.

The standard Rust release build and workspace tests cover the Rust applications. The headless wildroot-test binary then drives isolated nodes through end-to-end protocol scenarios.

On Windows, the supported script prepares the GUI dependency patch and native CUDA/OpenCL pieces before compiling the release binaries.

Rust workspace
cargo build --workspace --release
cargo test --workspace
./target/release/wildroot-test
Supported Windows build
powershell -ExecutionPolicy Bypass -File .\scripts\build_windows.ps1
Interfaces

Choose the interface that matches your integration.

Integration RPC

Native/operator-oriented RPC for node, wallet, pool, exchange and integration workflows that should not be forced through Ethereum conventions.

EVM HTTP + WebSocket

Ethereum-compatible JSON-RPC for EVM wallets, Solidity tooling, applications and subscription-based clients.

Explorer API

Unified indexed native/EVM transaction, block, contract, token, peer and finality data for explorer frontends and read-heavy integrations.

RPC quick start

Query native status or use Ethereum-shaped JSON-RPC.

All examples target the local default interfaces. Public deployments should place appropriate access controls, TLS termination and request limits around intentionally exposed RPC services.

CLI
cargo run -p wildroot-cli -- getblockchaininfo
cargo run -p wildroot-cli -- getnetworkinfo
EVM chain ID
curl -s http://127.0.0.1:17324 \
  -H "Content-Type: application/json" \
  --data '{"jsonrpc":"2.0","method":"eth_chainId","params":[],"id":1}'

EVM compatibility testing

tools/evm_rpc_smoke.py provides cross-platform read-only and signed contract/token compatibility checks. The project keeps representative and exhaustive compiler/EVM-target test matrices separate from ordinary quick smoke tests.

Protocol-first integration

Treat transaction DAG semantics, WildRoot fee rules and finality status as canonical. Compatibility RPC shapes are interfaces into WildRoot consensus, not replacements for its protocol rules.
